This sounds like a fun way to raise money for the community. I think you articulate your message pretty clearly through your writing. One thing that I would consider though, is in the design of your blog. It has no apparent hierarchy in the post, so as you start to include more text, the page starts to feel rather drab. With so much courier in a wide open space I feel like I'm auditing someones taxes instead of reading about design. Still, the subject is good and gives a nice perspective of ADCD.
